His professional experience includes business and personal taxation, financial, cost and managerial accounting, auditing, management consulting. He has actively and successfully represented his clients in front of the Internal Revenue Service, various State Tax and Local Agencies.

Amit Chandel graduated with and Baccalaureate in Commerce from India and earned his Baccalaureate in Science majoring in accounting with emphasis in public accounting from California State University, Long Beach. He earned his Master of Laws in Taxation from Washington School of Law. Mr. Chandel has been certified as Certified Tax Planner/Coach (CTP/CTC), Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Tax Resolution Specialist (CTRS) and Certified Exit Planner (CExP). He has taken advanced specialized training in both Matrimonial & Forensic Accounting conducted by National Association of Certified Valuation Analyst (NACVA).

He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants; American Institute of Certified Tax Coaches; National Association of Certified Valuation Analyst; Association of Certified Fraud Examiners; American Society of Tax Problem Solvers; and National Association of Accountants. He is past President of the Orange County Chapter of Institute of Management Accountants and is past President of the Orange County Chapter of National Association of Certified Valuation Analyst.

Amit Chandel has been practicing as a CPA since 1993 and has had extensive experience in compliance service of various kinds to both individuals, and various business entities and has successfully represented his clients before the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). He has been trained and “Certified” to represent taxpayers before IRS. Amit is a forensic accountant trained and experienced in the determination, investigation, restatement, analysis, interpretation, forecasting, feasibility, translation and visualization of complex financial and operational data and uses his accounting and auditing skills and experience to provide an analysis of financial records in conjunction with fraud and theft investigation to measure damage and determine the extent of financial loss and illegal accounting practices. Amit Chandel has been involved with business valuations and has both deposed and been called to stand as an expert witness. Amit Chandel’s experience encompasses all phases of the commercial litigation and forensic consulting process – from initial development of strategy to discovery, analysis and expert testimony. As a result of many years of industry and functional specialization, Amit Chandel has developed professionalism and a perspective on general practices and acceptable standards within various industries and the factors that influence the decision-making process and has developed an ability to provide clear insight into the strengths and weaknesses of the business aspects of both client’s and adversary’s positions and assumptions.

He is a principal of a firm with emphasis in tax planning, tax resolution, and exit strategies – Focus CPA Group, in the US. His experience includes more than 24 years of very complex and highly specialized financial guidance for a wide variety of businesses and industries ranging up to mid-size businesses operations.

He has published various books, two of them are on Amazon best seller list and has been recognized and honored by the National Academy of Best Selling Authors for his publications.
